WordPress runs a large share of the web, and most of what it runs on is plugins. That’s the strength of it and the weakness: the same openness that lets a restaurant take bookings for £30 a year also means the average site is running a dozen pieces of code from a dozen strangers, any one of which is a way in.

Apaxon exists to be a different kind of supplier in that stack. Not another twelve-plugin catalogue bought from twelve places, but one suite where the modules understand each other, and one platform that can prove what every site is running.

Apaxon is a UK company based in Manchester. We build the plugins and the platform they run on — the licensing, the signed release channel and the site health reporting are ours too, rather than a service we resell. That is why a plugin can tell you which of your sites is behind, and why an outage on our side does not reach your customers.

The way we work is easier to check than to claim. The standard every plugin is reviewed against is published in full, including a section listing the gaps we have not closed yet. Every plugin is GPL, the free versions are genuinely free rather than trials, and when a paid year ends nothing switches off. None of that requires you to take our word for it: it is either on the page or it is not.
